Do I qualify for a loan?

To qualify you need to : be 18 or older ; live and work in Quebec ; have been in the same job for at least 3 months or receive eligible income ; earn at least $1,500 a month ; not be in bankruptcy.

Eligible income : salary, employment insurance, QPIP, CNESST, SAAQ, ASS and pensions. Last-resort benefits and self-employed status are not eligible.

Do you run a credit check?

No. We assess your ability to repay through IBV, using the last 90 days of your transactions.

What is IBV?

IBV means Instant Bank Verification. It is a bank-built platform that outlines your last 90 days of transactions. It is a simpler, faster way to review repayment capacity, without a credit check.

How is this different from a bank loan?

The main difference is qualification. Banks rely on your credit score and decline when it is too low. Our loans rely on IBV. That extra risk comes with higher fees : we encourage you to use this type of loan only when other options do not fit.

Do I need to send documents?

Accepted Answer

The only document we ask for is a scan or photo of your ID : driver’s licence, passport or health card. Everything else is online, including the signature.

How long before I receive the money?

Your loan is deposited by Interac e-transfer within 24 business hours of signing and approval. Use the email tied to your bank account : that is where the deposit is sent. If your application is completed, signed and approved before 1 p.m., the amount is available the same day.

Question 7

Can I change my payment amount?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You may request two payment modifications per loan, at no fee. The installment can drop by up to 50 percent, for example from $100 to $50, with one extra payment added to the schedule. Changes are made with our agents by email or text, 72 business hours before the scheduled date. You can also change the bank account used for withdrawals.

I cannot cover my next payment. Can I postpone it?

Yes. You may request two payment postponements per loan. Each postponement has a $35 fee added at the end of your schedule. Ask 72 business hours ahead : after that, the withdrawal is already programmed.

Question 9

Can I replace a scheduled withdrawal with an Interac e-transfer?

Accepted Answer

No. Interac e-transfers are only for reducing your balance between withdrawals, or paying it off in full. A scheduled automatic withdrawal cannot be replaced by an e-transfer.

I missed a payment. What are my options?

Accepted Answer

Contact us. We will adjust your schedule in one of two ways : add the missed payment at the end of the calendar, or spread it over your next installments. A missed payment carries a $50 NSF fee.

What happens if I miss several payments in a row?

Accepted Answer

The limit is three consecutive missed payments. After that, your file is suspended and transferred to a collection agency, which can affect your credit score. Tell us as soon as you can so we can adjust the schedule.

When can I renew my loan?

Once you have repaid 75 percent of the original amount and related fees. Contact us by email or text to check if you qualify for a renewal.
